💫 Reviews from those we’ve supported
The reflections below offer a glimpse into what it’s like to work with Lunar SEND Consultancy. We’re grateful to those who have taken the time to share their experiences and trust us with their words.
”I've worked with Kate over several years, initially commissioning her to develop and deliver training. She's one of those rare people who combines real professional expertise with genuine warmth and empathy. What she delivers is always practical, evidence-based, and gets straight to the heart of the issue. She has a gift for distilling complex topics into actionable strategies without any blame or shame. Because she speaks from both professional knowledge and personal experience, her work is deeply empowering. I'd recommend her without hesitation.

”Kate, thanks again for your support with this young lady. A few small things have made a notable difference.
[Young person] seemed completely different today and so much more relaxed.  She told me what a difference her time out pass had made as she can leave class when really fidgety and move around.  The biggest relief for her was the removal of homework.  She said she feels so much better and less stressed knowing she can go home and relax and unwind from the day.
[Young Person] reported that both these things had made a “massive difference.”

”We have implemented quite a few changes at home and homelife has become a lot less stressful for all of us. Things like tidying her room, I do still ask her but I have noticed that if I leave her to it, she does eventually do it and does a great job. Bedtime too, even though we still guide her to having a set bed time we are more flexible on the time and she will go to sleep earlier if she is tired. School life appears to have taken a huge step forward with regards to friendships. She actually said last week that she now enjoys school, something I didn't ever think I would ever hear from her. Reducing the homework had caused a lot less stress in the house although we do worry about her academic studies falling behind. I have broached the subject of extra tutoring in maths for her from September. It would be with a family friend who was her teacher in primary for many years, so she is familiar with him. She appeared to be open to this but we'll talk about it more in September. On a whole I see a different child to the one from six months ago and it is largely due to the support she is getting in school from you. Thank you for everything and for helping us to support her at home too.

”Those breathing techniques you taught me have been an absolute godsend. I’ve been doing them daily and they’ve made a massive difference to my stress levels. I’m totally peopled out by lesson 2 or 3 so I’ve been using them in school a lot in the afternoons and it’s really helped.
The sleep plan has helped me out immensely even in the short time we’ve been doing it. It also has helped me out in other ways with stress management and struggles I have around suspected ADHD. Anxiety is defo, sort of suppressed a lot and is more at the back of my mind. I’m also able to shove it to the side a bit as I have more organisation and routine now. The breathing and specifically the chanting with finger tapping has really helped.

”I would like to thank you for all your help and support with my daughter. Through the ADHD diagnosis sessions with yourself, she has really started to understand, accept and regulate her ADHD. She recognises when she is struggling and asks for help. This is a huge step for her as before this, she struggled both at home and school. It has also helped myself and my husband to understand her behaviours and support her more. The profiles you provided were so thorough – I've never seen anything like it!
The difference in her in the last year has been incredible. Thank you so much for everything.
